India Ink and Gouache

This title refers to a series of gouache and ink drawings I made during the lead up to our disastrous presidential election. I was living in the D.C. Metro area and working as a concierge at the Homer Building—a host to many big money lobbying firms. I don’t know what these drawings mean mean. I can’t directly link these drawings to the anxiety of the election. But like many Americans, the fascination, fear, and sadness was always lurking in the back of my mind—and this is the work I was able to complete during this time.
